Isaac Hayden scored in the final minute of stoppage time to earn Newcastle United a smash-and-grab victory over wasteful Chelsea.
Match Report
Isaac Hayden snatched a last-gasp winner as Chelsea failed to make their dominance count in a dramatic 1-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle United at St James' Park.
Heading into Saturday's fixture on the back of a 3-0 demolition of Burnley, Chelsea had almost 70 per cent of the possession, yet could not pick their way through Steve Bruce's well-drilled side and came unstuck in the final minute of stoppage time.
Having cleared a corner, Chelsea switched off when the ball was worked back in, giving Hayden the chance to head in from point-blank range, though Kepa Arrizabalaga could have done better.

10' Injured! Willems is stretchered off
Willems has his face in his hands as he is stretchered off, with Ritchie coming on to replace him at left wing-back.
13' Mount created a great chance!
Mount gets down the left after Kante wins the ball high up the field and flashes the ball across the face of goal. Abraham was available to cut the ball back for, however, and perhaps was the better option.
16' CLOSE! Dubravka makes timely block
Hudson-Odoi chases a long ball forward to the edge of the box, but Dubravka comes out to claim. However, he makes a real mess of it and slaps the ball awkwardly to one side instead of making what looked like an easy catch!
22' OFF THE POST! Joelinton nearly scores
CROSSBAR! Krafth swings in a superb cross from the right that Joelinton rises highest to meet in the box, but his powerful header clatters back out off the crossbar and is hacked clear by James!
29' Abraham's long shot flies into the sky!
Abraham puts an end to the Blues' patient, possession play and takes on a very speculative shot from distance, but it's miles over the bar.
48' Willian's long shot blocked
Willian cuts infield from the left and strikes a low effort towards goal from the edge of the box, but it's blocked away.
53' CLOSE! Willian's shot wide out
SAVE! Willian works some space on the left and squares it to Mount, who helps it on for Azpilicueta on the edge of the box. The defender strikes it first-time, and it's a firm effort, but it's a little too central and Dubravka can hold on.
55' Yellow Card! Hayden booked
Hayden now picks up a yellow card for a clumsy challenge on Mount, giving Chelsea a free-kick in a very promising position.
60' Abraham fires his shot into the sky
CHANCE! Hudson-Odoi crafts an excellent opportunity down the right, finding Abraham at the near post, but the striker fires awkwardly over the bar from close range!
73' CLOSE! Abraham misses a great chance!
MISS! Abraham prods the ball past an onrushing Dubravka, but the angle is very tight and the striker ends up booting a shot straight behind for a goal-kick!
75' Reece James subbed off with leg injury
James has gone down off the ball again and it appears he has been unable to shake off that ankle injury. He will have to be replaced.James has gone down off the ball again and it appears he has been unable to shake off that ankle injury. He will have to be replaced.
90+4' GOAL! Newcastle 1-0 Chelsea (Hayden)
The initial corner is cleared only as far as Saint-Maximin on the left and he swings a cross back into the middle, where Hayden gets behind Rudiger to head past Kepa and in! The goalkeeper should do better as the effort is close to him and he managed to get a touch. It's 1-0 to Newcastle!

Has anyone noticed Lampard promotes young English players or players with English backgrounds to the first team only,or should we say some other Chelsea academy players that are not english decent are not just good enough to enter into our first team, secondly Lampard won't want to buy any player that will challenge this English players position.Take for example Dortmund latest signing Haaland very young and a player with very good eye for goal went for an unbelievable price, while can't we get him?since we have known Giroud may leave since late November or December and Chelsea's transfer ban has being lifted so what happened there, anyways just saying though....
