L’Équipe report that additional MRI scans show that Neymar has suffered a fracture on his 5th metatarsal on his right foot and will miss at least both legs against Manchester United in the Champions League owing to this injury.

The world's most expensive player had suffered a "painful recurrence" of the injury he sustained to his right foot last season after he limped out of this week's 2-0 win over Strasbourg in the Coupe de France.

Neymar will miss both legs (February 12 at Old Trafford & March 6th at Parc des Princes) against Manchester United in the Champions' League & is out until at least the end of March, according to L'Équipe.

What is worse, the newspaper is also reporting that there is a 90% chance that Ney will need an operation and thus miss the rest of the season. A decision will be taken this afternoon.

The striker has been in sublime form this season, with 18 goals and eight assists for the Ligue 1 leaders.

United, who have won eight games on the bounce, have been given a huge boost ahead of the last-16 tie.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel admitted after Tuesday's match that it wasn't looking good for the 26-year-old.

He said: "It's too early for Neymar. He has started getting treatment, we need to wait until next week.

"His treatment will depend on how the injury develops in the next few days. The fact Neymar and Marco are injured is a sad situation for us.
