All matches in the group stage of the 2025 Qatar U17 World Cup have concluded.
Among all 10 African teams participating in this U17 World Cup, 9 have successfully advanced to the knockout stage, with only Côte d'Ivoire U17 being eliminated in the group stage.
This tournament marks the first time that the number of participating teams in the U17 World Cup has increased from 24 to 48, with the African region securing 10 spots, second only to Europe's 11. Côte d'Ivoire U17 was grouped with Switzerland, South Korea, and Mexico in this tournament's group stage. They lost all three group stage matches, scoring 2 goals and conceding 8, finishing last in the group and being eliminated.
The remaining nine CAF participating teams all advanced to the knockout stage. Among them, Uganda U17 and Zambia U17, both making their debuts, successfully passed the test and advanced to the knockout stage. Côte d'Ivoire U17's best result in this tournament was third place at the U17 World Cup in 1987.
