Atletico Madrid are level at half time in their key La Liga clash with Athletic Club with Nico Williams the focus in the Spanish capital.
Both sides are battling for UEFA Champions League qualification with tonight’s clash effectively a top four direct scrap.
Argentina international Rodrigo De Paul got the ball rolling for the hosts early on but the visitors responded before the break.
However, the main focus once again this season centred on racist abuse directed from the stands towards a player with Williams the target.
The match officials stopped the game for two minutes with anti racist messages announced over the stadium tannoy at the Estadio Metropolitano.
After the game restarted, Williams produced a crucial finish from close range, to level the contest.
Williams immediately celebrated in front of the home fans by pointing to his skin in a clear reaction against the disgusting abuse he was subjected to earlier in the game.

vinicius provoked them that is why, the earlier they admitted that ATM n Barca fans are bunch of hypocrites and racist, the better, that is why their fans will be justifying racial slur against vinicius, but when karma strike they condemned the one against lamine yamal but unfortunately their fans were even more guilty of racist chant against PSG black players. if not why will Barca n ATM playing ucl against other clubs and still still taint vinicius with racial abuse when they are not playing against Madrid at that time. we can see from ATM match vs athletic Bilbao how Nico n inaki Williams were jeered with racial taunt through our the game. the two brothers couldn't concentrate on the match again it affected their play. yet Nico is a Spanish national a great mistake from him to switch to Spain. look at what happened, I have to even switch from that match because it was a disgrace. now I know why they taint vinicius or any other black players who are threat to them , they look for a way to unsettled them ,but paid off yesterday when the Williams brothers couldn't not concentrate all through out the game
