Aston Villa have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Nicolas Jackson.
It is understood to be worth up to £65m, meeting Chelsea's valuation of the striker. The Blues' plan all summer has been to sell Jackson and Liam Delap.
Atletico Madrid also want Jackson, but may not be able to offer as much as Villa. Jackson worked with Villa manager Unai Emery when they were both at Villarreal.
Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga champions had an obligation to buy the forward included in the deal worth £56.25m, but Jackson did not reach the number of appearances required to exercise the option.
He may be a replacement for Ollie Watkins, with Villa in talks to sell the striker to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
England international Watkins is keen on the move, and at least one bid has already been rejected by Villa.
They do not want to sell Watkins but Al Hilal are pushing and talks continue.

A team is about good players, is about the coach they have, villa has a good coach, surely they will be better as last season

What a steal Chelsea will definitely regret it because Jackson is a Benzema breed type of striker who gives assists & create opportunities for the team to score if he's unable to score for the team
If by your assertion on Jackson, then the doors is still open for your clueless and mediocre Manchester Disunited to hijack the deal from Aston villa 😉 😀 😜 😄 😎

not so. Watkins is going and another player is coming in. Chelsea too selling players. If a player wants to l3ave, a team can't force the player to stay of course
villa will struggle this season, especially with European football, their entire teams been ransacked!! and thebplsyers they've brought in/bringing in aren't as good as the players they've let go, they're in trouble this year!! especially if Nico Jackson is their number 1 striker LOL 😂😂😂

Aston villa will be back to mid table this season, they've sold all their players and the replacements they've brought in are not as good as the players they've let go, so they're going to struggle this season, especially with European football to think about. their team has been completely ransacked!!! but dont worry they're going to sign Goretzka lol 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂😂
