Norway 1-1 Spain: La Roja fail to qualify in advance as they concede 93' penalty

Spain seemed set to seal Euro 2020 qualification with a win away to Norway, but a late Joshua King penalty denied La Roja.

Joshua King scored a 94th-minute penalty to earn Norway a 1-1 Euro 2020 qualifier draw at home to Spain, who would have sealed their place at the finals with victory.

Saul Niguez's goal 62 seconds into the second half looked to have extended Spain's perfect record to seven wins from seven in Group F at Ullevaal Stadion on Saturday.

But Kepa Arrizabalaga's foul on Omar Elabdellaoui in stoppage time handed Norway a golden chance to deny Robert Moreno's men the points they needed.

King wriggles down the inside-left channel and jinks towards the box. The Bournemouth striker stands the ball up for Elabdellaoui at the far post who can't reach it. The cross eventually comes back in for King, who glances a header towards goal. Kepa drops low to keep it out!

Saul angles an over-the-top ball for Rodrigo which Hovland cuts out. Norway look to counter down their left. Odegaard plays the ball back and a lofted pass finds Elabdellaoui in the box! The right-back has plenty of time to shoot but hesitates, giving Kepa a routine save. He should have let rip sooner there.

Saul beats Jarstein with a dipping effort from the edge of the box after Norway fail to clear their lines. That's his third goal for his country!

Norway look tired but their bravery may yet get them a result! Elabdellaoui bursts into the box and beats the onrushing Kepa to a header, getting taken out in the process. King has the goal to aim at and blazes over, but the referee points to the spot! King coolly steps up and rolls the penalty past Kepa who dives fruitlessly to his right. Spain's winning run in Group F may have come to an end!
