Official sources confirm that 35-year-old Italian striker Mario Balotelli has joined UAE Second Division club Al-Ittifaq on a free transfer.

Al-Ittifaq released a video of Balotelli signing his contract, during which the forward stated, "The club has excellent goals and plans, and I hope to help them score as many goals as possible."

A product of Inter Milan's youth system, Balotelli has previously played for top clubs including Manchester City, Liverpool, and AC Milan. Al-Ittifaq marks the 13th club of his career, with the past decade alone seeing him complete 10 transfers.

Balotelli's last competitive appearance came on December 22, 2024, when he featured for Genoa in a 1-2 Serie A defeat to Napoli. After his contract with Genoa expired in July 2025, he spent six months without a club. The 35-year-old currently has a market value of €500,000.
