OFFICIAL: 39-year-old veteran Džeko joins Fiorentina on a one-year deal

On July 10, Fiorentina officially announced the signing of Edin Džeko. The Bosnian striker has signed a one-year contract with La Viola.

Club statement:

The Bosnian international, born on March 17, 1986, in Sarajevo, has signed a one-year deal with the club, valid until June 30, 2026. The contract includes an option to extend automatically until June 30, 2027, if certain conditions are met.

Last season, the striker played 53 matches for Fenerbahçe, scoring 21 goals and providing 7 assists.

Džeko has previously represented clubs such as Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Roma, and Inter Milan, amassing 369 goals and 153 assists in his professional career.

Honours: 1 Bundesliga title, 2 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, 1 Community Shield, 2 Coppa Italia titles, and 2 Italian Super Cups.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 39-year-old has made 141 appearances, scoring 68 goals and contributing 29 assists.
