Our club’s all-time leading scorer will take on a new professional challenge in MLS this summer.

Atlético de Madrid and Orlando City SC have reached an agreement over the transfer of Antoine Griezmann to the American club beginning next season. The forward traveled to Orlando, with the club’s permission, during the two days of rest granted to the first team, to finalize his contract with the Florida side.
The move will see the club’s all-time leading scorer take on a new challenge in Major League Soccer this summer after 10 seasons in the Red & White shirt.
Griezmann joined Atlético from Real Sociedad in July 2014. Since then, our No. 7 has become the club’s all-time leading scorer with 211 goals, surpassing Luis Aragonés, who netted 173. His 488 games in Red & White also make him the player with the fourth-most appearances in our club’s history.
Over his 10 seasons at Atleti, Griezmann has delivered numerous memorable moments for our supporters, winning three trophies to date: the Spanish Super Cup in 2014, and both the Europa League and UEFA Super Cup in 2018.
The forward will return to training this week alongside our players who have not traveled with their national teams, as the club prepares for the final stretch of the season. Ahead lies an eagerly anticipated Copa del Rey final, as well as a Champions League quarterfinal tie, in which the team will aim to secure a place in the semifinals.
