All six Premier League teams involved in the European Super League have formally withdrawn from the competition.
Manchester City were the first club to formally pull out after Chelsea had signalled their intent to do so by preparing documentation to withdraw.
The other four sides - Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham - have all now followed suit。
Manchester City confirmed they have "formally enacted the procedures to withdraw" from the Super League.
Liverpool said their involvement in the proposed breakaway league "has been discontinued".
Manchester United said they had "listened carefully to the reaction from our fans, the UK government and other key stakeholders" in making their decision to not take part.
Arsenal apologised and said they had "made a mistake", adding they were withdrawing after listening to their fans and the "wider football community".
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said the club regretted the "anxiety and upset" caused by the proposal.

The so called supper league could work if there was relegation and promotion. In the season 2021-2022 the last 16 teams in the Champions league plus the Semi finalist in the UEFA cup form the Div1 Supper league. Similarly season 2022-2023 the last 16 and the last 4 will form Supper league Div 2. In season 2023-24 the last 3 in SL div1 will be relegated to SL div 2 and the last 3 in SL div2 will be relegated to their domestic leagues to be replaced by the league winners of their domestic leagues Or to be replaced by the Finalist of the Champions league plus winner of the UEFA cup. In my proposal there will be boost in the football world without forsaking the traditional aspiration of football fans.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic : "I will play for Sweden. I just came back to my national team last month and someone in Madrid who has never played football in his life, wants to see me and other Footballers out of Euros and World Cup, it's insane. It's do or die. I will play for my Country. I can find another club if it continues like this. There is Malmo in Sweden for me. There is sporting Lisbon in Portugal for Cristiano and there is River plate in Argentina for Lionel Messi, these Players should be in international football, I know they're thinking exactly what am thinking although they haven't come out yet, once they come out you will see that Footballers are powerful than owners. Playing for sporting Lisbon, River plate and Malmo won't stop our qualities, but it will save football from this disaster " Thnk you IBRAHIMOVIC

I fully agree. Because the EUFA cup can be full of great teams, if you limit it to 2 entries plus the local Cup winner for the very advanced leagues and the second tier nations will have 2 entries plus 2 for the EUFA cup. The second tier will consist of Portugal Russia, Ukrainian, Turkey, Holland and Belgium, the 3rd tier will have one entry to the Ch L and one to the EUFA league the 3rd tier nations Austria, Swiss., Poland, Serbia, Greece, Cheekia, Hungary, Scotland, Sweden, Norway, Bulgaria, Rumania, Denmark, Croatia and BHG the 5th tier will be composed of the mini states, S.M, Andora, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar, Faroes, will run their own competition and only one team goes up to the EUFA cup comp, the 4th teir will consist of all the other Nations and will have only one entry to the EUFA cup pleminary round

This ESL would hav really helped in funding clubs to help them pay their debts, pay players and also get bigger players. You all don’t get it, most big clubs are in debts, players are extorting big clubs with their huge wages and you fans expect your clubs to sign Haaland, Mbappe and other big players, where would the money come from to sign these players. No more stadium ticket sales, most of the money clubs get from TV rights goes to UEFA, UEFA are actually the greedy ones here! How can a club get just €100M from winning the UCL. UEFA need to top up the money clubs gain from qualifying, reaching the knockouts and also winning the UCL, this way big clubs won’t be thinking about creating ESL. The small clubs you feel for are also extorting big clubs, don’t you know how much they sell their good players to us big clubs, cutthroat prices!! This ESL would hav really helped finance big clubs, it’s not really about their pockets only. UEFA knws the money they won’t be getting anymore if the ESL is created, they’re also after their pockets, you think they care about us fans or the players? If they do, why don’t they fight RACISM the way they’re fighting the ESL! You all really need to wake up!

I am totally against this leauge! Due to this European Football is coming to an end! I think you know about the consequences the participating teams will be facing? Can you imagine European Football without these elite clubs? Can you imagine European Football without Messi and Ronaldo? Can you imagine European Football without other superstars? Can you imagine UEFA CL AND EL without these teams? Can you imagine Fifa or any international matches without these superstars? Can you imagine Fifa or any international matches without Messi and Ronaldo? Can you imagine the death of European Football? Can you imagine the youngsters who always dreamt of representing their nations cannot take part in International matches? Can you imagine EPL, LA LIGA, SERIE A without these great teams? WE DON'T WANT THIS SUPER F****G LEAUGE, WE WANT UCL/UEL, DOMESTIC LEAUGES WITH THESE TEAMS AND INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL WITH THESE PLAYERS! #BOYCOTT SUPER LEAGUE I said this 2 days ago! Now today I am saying HIP HIP HURRAH, 3 cheers for these 12 clubs HIP HIP HURRAH , today will be marked as the greatest day in the history of Football as it's proved that money can't be bigger than your passion and love for anything and money can't give you full happiness. Today power of the Avengers(fans) killed the mighty Thanos(super leauge)! Now RIP SUPER LEAGUE[Crylaugh]!

interesting👃 European Super League Look, whether you like European Super League or not, that's another thing and to be honest I'm not particularly thrilled by this idea either. But its clear as a day, UEFA has no moral authority either, its money vs money at this point. UEFA wants money to be distributed through them, meanwhile these 12 clubs thought, that when they are responsible for generating 90% of the revenue, they can have access to that money directly by making their own regularity authority and bypassing UEFA. I want everyone of you to go and check, how was Premier League created in 1992. 20 big clubs broke away from the FA and Football League First Division to create their own league with the main motivation being more lucrative tv deals. That's exactly what these 12 clubs are doing. Its ironic that now we'll be given lectures on 'Moral Values' and 'People's football' by PSG and their leadership. PSG were one of the main reasons behind this fiasco, they injected so much cash which obviously UEFA failed to stop, that it started threatening big clubs and made them look for ways to compete with it. UEFA is a hypocrite, almost corrupt organization which failed to do its job in the first place. Football has changed, for better or for worse, but make no mistake, what has happened over the last 24 hours was inevitable. As a football fan, I am against the format of the Super League, however, if there’s something that I truly hate, it’s that organizations that have spent years profiting mercilessly from Football fans are trying to play the victims here, they have no right to take the moral high ground. Look at how fast they reacted. Where was that energy for racism? Lemme just give a rough example ; Suppose, there are four guys A, B, C, and D in a house. A and B make 50$ per day each, while C & D make 20$ per day each. At the end of the day they gather the total amount of 140$ at one place and distribute it. A and B get 40$ each while C & D get 30$ each. There will be a natural tendency from A and B to breakaway from C & D, and bag the whole 50$ that they generate. These 12 clubs are doing, what A and B would've done. And last but not least, neither UEFA nor domestic leagues can run themselves without these elite clubs and the massive money that they generate, so good luck trying to ban them, if there's no mutual solution found, UEFA and these leagues will have to bend down in ways they can't even imagine, they have been outplayed! European Super League: All six Premier League teams withdraw from competition - BBC Sport It is official all English clubs have withdrew from ESL. We've got our football back. 💪It is amazing to see the conviction from fans across the world to set aside their rivalries and unite together to save the football we all love - A fair open competition that rewards teams based purely on sporting merit and not wealth or power. A competition that allows the underdog to have hopes and dreams and the pathway to achieve the unthinkable in the greatest stage and greatest team in football - Respect to all the 6 clubs fans who opposed and help stop this abomination called ESL.

Look at the level of feeling this has caused, and look at how quickly and collectively it's been dealt with, and why? Truth be told, it was swiftly dealt with because of the same thing those behind the ESL were being accused of, GREED! That's right undiluted greed, all those except the mugged of fans whose spat their dummies out over this stood to lose big time financially, as well as jobs etc, And who do they call on yo get the job done, the dozzy fans who they've been mugging off big time for the last year plus with lock downs and lockouts. And what about all the people of colour and the non racists whom they also been mugging off for decades with token gestures regards racism in football, why hasn't that been dealt with in a similar swift manner? I'll you why, it's because racism in foot doesn't hurt their pickets in the same or similar way! ESL, EPL, FA, etc they're all cut from the same cloth and that includes FA spoilt brat mouth piece Gary Neville. Greed is who they are, serve, and will always be. You keep watching and see.

really you Chelsea and Man City fans are so hypothetical. no one bats an eye when Abramovic back when he bought!! a MID- TABLE teams at best(Chelsea Fc) with all due respect. And the man just injected huge amounts of cash to subsidize player transfers and literally buy trophies to become what can many consider in England as of now maybe the 3rd biggest club again in England trophy-wise. I didn't see Chelsea fans crying out that that abuse of spending money was killing the game at the time and that it was unfair to the smaller teams neither have i heard any Man City fan cry and complain from the doping the Sheiks have done not only to City Fc but other teams they've bought around the world just to buy trophies. The hyporacy greed is real in fútbol and so is the corruption let's be real. But Chelsea, Man City and PSG fans, players, and staff just don't talk, you all have no right you hypocrites 🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫

Most of you claiming ESL is all about money, now let's think of this. Most big clubs are in debt, the money they will earn from the ESL is far more than UCL, now Fifa and UEFA are afraid the ESL will generate all the attention, Example; if Manchester City vs Inter Milan are playing super league today and Leicester City vs CSKA Moscow are playing Champions League same time, everyone will prefer to watch Man City match and because of the money UEFA will loss, they don't want that to happen. They are also greedy and corrupt, they earn a lot more money than what they give to the clubs involved in the competition.

I'm posting this everywhere cause I think everyone needs to see it It is funny how ppl want to tell you how and what to think without putting much thought into what they are saying. FifA and UEFA are milking money, it is all about money for all involved. Nike now is a sponsor and we know have to pay an arm and a leg for the jersey. Where is the football is for the fans banner or call out? All merchandise are now through the roof with the prices. Where is for the fans? Broadcasters holding us by our balls because they Pay broadcast rights and fans have to pay a lot. Agents and players making millions and the clubs have to pay, where is the call it is for the fans? Look at CL and World Cup they have a way of filtering who they allow in. So that thing about fans is just repeating what the media said. Champions of certain leagues still have to play qualifiers to get into CL. Europe has the most amount of teams being able to qualify for a world cup. Isn't it suppose to be about of the fans and not money? It has been about money for UEFA and fifa and will continue to be about money

we will all regret this someday... premier is joke with worse VAR decisions.. Bruno fenandes faults this opponent in their penalty box and his is award a penalty woaw and some people we will the say premier league is the best league in the world, if it's true then the best in the world is a disgrace... Perez is right! football has become very boring... UEFA premeditates ballots, terrible VAR decisions and sanctioning players unjustly... European Super League would have brought more spice to football... UEFA and Premier league are scare of becoming obsolete.. i would have love to see a champion league every week.. i guess it will never because some ppl are scared of change..some people are talking about greed lol there is already enough greed going on right now, Arsenal can't be produce quality football yet they are amongst the richest clubs in the world and Leicester is not lol rich teams buy all the best players from small team every year, how is that even equal.. Some leagues are more popular and richer than others, eg premier league vs French league yet ppl act like they are equal when of cause they are not.. the difference in money btw bayern and all the others teams in the Bundesliga is tremendous, they buy all the best out breaking talents(e.g lawandoski) from their opponents, that's they win every year .. ESP will kind of match the team strength and produce quality ... It's amazing how dull fans can be

Obviously he made money out of it. You pay to break a contract. Except Barca board who were wise to instill a clause in the contract, that if their club fans did not accept then their contract is not valid. Perez will use that money to buy Mbappe soon 😂

If teams were requested to pay for signing up for the ESL, do you think Arsenal and Tottenham would have joined? Common players they cannot buy, less you think of paying to sign up for a league!
