Manchester United has officially announced the decision of sacking Ruben Amorim. Darren Fletcher will fill the post of Manchester United coach in their game against Burnley.
Official Statement:
Ruben Amorim has departed his role as Head Coach of Manchester United.
Ruben was appointed in November 2024 and led the team to a UEFA Europa League Final in Bilbao in May.
With Manchester United sitting sixth in the Premier League, the club’s leadership has reluctantly made the decision that it is the right time to make a change. This will give the team the best opportunity of the highest possible Premier League finish.
The club would like to thank Ruben for his contribution to the club and wishes him well for the future.
Darren Fletcher will take charge of the team against Burnley on Wednesday.

The problem is the top hierarchy. They want a coach to just dance to their stupid tune.

Am a die hard United fan but I don't agree to the sacking of RA even though my opinion means nothing to the owner of the club. I don't see them hiring a manager that can quickly reposition the club because when they had the opportunity of doing so, they never did. They are architect of the fall United is going through now. They will never employ good coach of United status like Conte, Luiz Enrique, Pochetino, Unai E and the likes when they were available. The kept going for low standard managers. Tell me,who is available now that can turn the club,,,,Is it Howe, Iraola, Glasner, Southgate, Maresca, or who?...Honestly, they will be in this mess for long I can say
