I think this award was given to him by improvement, not by performance. I think Arteta deserves this award, because he won all his matches without conceding a single goal both home and abroad.

Those of you making noise about Arteta did you check the fixtures both team had for October? United beat Sunderland (who were 5th on the table, Liverpool (the league champions who were 2nd) and Brighton (who were 10th). Arsenal beat West ham (who were 19th), Fulham (who were 14th) and Crystal palace (who were 8th). They both won all their EPL fixtures and United moved from 14th to 6th, while Arsenal remained 1st. The difference in the position of the opponents both teams faced is much and beating Liverpool alone at Anfield was a tremendous mark for United. This is why, performance wise, United had given more so Amorim rightfully deserves the manager award for the month of October.

Everyone saying Areteta deserves it ,which I don't disagree, but it's an award for EPL performance not any other competition, and as good as arsenal were defensively thats all they did (defend), man united had complete performances against Chelsea, Liverpool, and a Sunderland side thats shocked the prem so far, so the caliber of opponent they faced during the month and won all has to count for something, I'd say Amorim deserves this award as much as Arteta. Especially because of the criticism he faced and his system beat the defending champions and the world champions.

No it was given to Amorim by performance not improvement. United's performance in October was the best. Get that.
