The goalkeeper moves to the League One side on a permanent deal having enjoyed previous loan spells with Gateshead, Milton Keynes Dons and, most recently, at Crewe Alexandra last season.
Marschall, an FA Youth Cup winner with Villa in 2021, made his senior debut for the club in a UEFA Europa Conference League tie against HŠK Zrinjski.
