Aston Villa confirm the signing of Barkley from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old England international, who has been capped 33 times by his country, has made 52 appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League and Champions League, since his transfer to Stamford Bridge in January 2018.
Barkley burst into the Everton first team aged 17 after graduating from their youth academy and he went on to net 27 goals from midfield in 179 appearances for the Toffees.
Dean Smith said: “Capturing a player of Ross’s quality is a real coup for our Club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team.”

Don't forget that football is a business and the major aim is to do business that will earn the club some profit. I just Laugh at people that shout Lampard this, Lampard that... Sorry to say that our opinions as fans don't really count. In fact the only thing that the club owe us is to entertain us as well as giving us the sense of achievement for supporting the club( results) which the club will do at all cost to give us. Every Club wants to succeed and that's exactly what they are trying to achieve. For the internal matters, my fellow Chelsea fans, our opinion do not count.
