The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) have confirmed that Neymar will miss Copa America after suffering a ligament rupture in the right ankle.
Neymar limped out after just 21 minutes after getting injured in Brazil's friendly game against Qatar this Wednesday.
The Brazil star was seen crying on the bench and was helped down to the dressing room with the assistance of team personnel.
Official statement
After suffering a sprain in his right ankle during the game against Qatar, Neymar was evaluated and subjected to complementary imaging tests that confirmed ligament rupture in the ankle.
Due to the seriousness of the injury, Neymar will not have the physical conditions and sufficient recovery time to participate in the Copa America 2019.

Neymar is badluck for short, not only to Brazil but also to himself and even club. I want to say that Neymar's style of play is in itself injury prone. Sometimes he wants to conserve the ball even wen they're down, just to show one style or the other to the gallery. Unfortunately, today we've wild defenders any midfielders who are very intolerant to such babyish football prangs.He really needs to change his play style else he'll remain injury prone will not attain his full potential especially as it always happens just before, or during a major competition like Copa America, World Cup or highly contested or rated match. His style is too babyish for my liking,and some managers are even sceptical to hire him in their club.

Neymar is suffering from psychological problems, he needs help. Many people haven’t recognise it. We need to remember He is just a human, not an angel. He is going through psychological trauma. He is suffering from emotional issues inside him. He is hiding it from the public. He is acting to be strong. But he is suffering and struggling with inner peace problems. These things happens to all humans, it doesn’t matter you famous or rich, it can happen to every human. Neymar need a psychologist. More else he is not that matured.
