The Portuguese star tops our fan poll following his stunning performance in win against Villa

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:

Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes has been voted Player of the Matchweek for Matchweek 30.

The Man Utd captain's inspired display at Old Trafford clinched a 3-1 victory against top-four rivals Aston Villa.

Fernandes provided two assists on Sunday to take his season tally to 16, beating United legend David Beckham's club record for assists provided in a single league campaign (15).

Fernandes is moving closer to Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne's joint-record of 20 Premier League assists in a season, while he is also aiming to win the Coca-Cola Playmaker of the Season award for the first time.

Fernandes has now won the Player of the Matchweek award five times, which is three more than any other player this season.

The Portuguese star picked up 53 per cent of the fan vote for Matchweek 30, while his closest challenger, Arsenal youngster Max Dowman, had 37 per cent.

Fernandes's total of 38,784 votes is the most received by a player in a Matchweek all season, beating the 38,550 that Patrick Dorgu received in Matchweek 23.

The other nominees this week were West Ham United centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos (five per cent), Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison (four per cent), and Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon (one per cent).
