Chelsea have officially completed the signing of Mateo Kovacic on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.

He's played 109 times for the club, scoring three goals.
A statement on Chelsea's website read:
"We have tonight agreed terms with Real Madrid for the transfer of Thibaut Courtois, subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical.
"As part of the deal, Mateo Kovacic will join Chelsea on a season-long loan."

Sarri was probably deceived.The giants took like 30m for kovacic who is going to be in Stamford Bridge for 9 months whereby he sold Courtois for just 35m.I know the coach is good but I think he don't know how to use the funds properly.On the other side he bought a Gk Kepa Arrizabalaga for 82m and he could have get him for around 30m to 40m.Why is he doing all that.Am totally confused 😩😩😩

This is a good move for Kovacic and Chelsea. He will help Chelsea to do well because Madrid's patter is not so different from the high pressing Mauricio Sarri's style.I wish him a successful stint at Chelsea.

I'm very happy to get kovacic but why is he coming to Chelsea if he wants playing time? 😆 We already have like 7 central midfielders and 2 of 3 starting spots guaranteed (Kante and jorginho) so I don't know what mateo is thinking. welcome anyways kovacic!

In my opinion both a great move for chelsea. We lost a world class goal keeper and we got in my opinion a better,sharper goal keeper. The trend is changing in the market...No team likes to lose thier best players,so only a huge fee would do. And mateo is a serious upgrade to timu he has experience and we can make buy next season. We did'nt loose our attackers and we added luftus to the mix. I think we are going to have a great season.
