Chelsea have signed former England goalkeeper Robert Green on a one-year deal.
The 38-year-old joins on a free transfer after being released by Huddersfield, where he did not make a first-team appearance last season.
Green has played over 650 games for Norwich, West Ham, QPR and Leeds and has 12 England caps.
Chelsea say he will provide back-up to Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero at Stamford Bridge.

Why are people not understanding this signing? You need a certain amount of home grown players, you need backup Goalkeepers. Rather than destroy the potential of a young English player (like we always do), we’ve decided to get in Green. Good signing imo, experienced and will help young players!

This is a good Signing. Rob Green is a quality keeper with a lot of experience. All you so called Chelsea Supporters who are laughing at this dont know a thing about Football. Good signing who can even provide Caballero competition for the number two Jersey.

When are people going to stop criticising Chelsea signings??sarr knows why he signed green and a club like Chelsea can't just have foreign based players, they need to mix and also it's good for English football to see some experienced goalkeepers still playing for bigger clubs in England.
