Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos has joined Brazilian side Vasco Da Gama on loan until the end of the season. He will return to the Blue's after the u-20 World Cup.

Santos was originally meant to be part of the squad at Chelsea for the remainder of the season but he was unable to get a work permit meaning Chelsea needed to send him on loan.

He has got his move back to the club Chelsea bought him from.

The deal was announced today by Chelsea on their Twitter account, and it is a good move for Santos as he looks to continue his development.

Chelsea rate Andrey Santos highly and his quality was there for all to see during the South American Championships with Brazil recently where Brazil ran out as winners.

The plan is to send him to Vasco until the summer, and they will work on getting his work permit in the mean time.

Chelsea plan on having Andrey Santos as part of the first-team next season and he could be a key player considering his quality.

Palmeiras originally looked to be taking Santos on loan but there was a disagreement on the length of the loan deal, with the Brazilian side wanting it until December.

The loan deal is done and Vasco will take back Andrey Santos until the summer. Chelsea will monitor his progress and welcome him back when the loan is done.
