Borussia Dortmund have announced Lucien Favre as their new manager.
The Swiss replaces Peter Stoger who was only appointed on a six-month contract last December.
But he has retired and former Nice boss Favre installed in his place.
His move paves the way for Patrick Vieira to take over at the south of France club in what will be his first management job in Europe.
Favre has also managed four clubs in his homeland as well as Hertha Berlin and Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany.

Great appointment. Wonder what he will do with players like Reus, Dahoud, Sancho, and Pulisic (if he stays). Also love that he will be able to shape the team right away with as much as 1/3rd of the current squad available for transfer.

We will not get a second Klopp or Tuchel so fast. For me, Favre is not the top solution and is not synonymous for the promised new beginning, but let's wait and give him the chance to do his job in peace.. I just hope he doesnt recreate the gladbach scene.
