Frankfurt have completed the signing of Sebastian Rode from Borussia Dortmund, the club have announced.
Rode, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Frankfurt, has put pen to paper on a deal until 2024.
The 28-year-old made 12 Bundesliga appearances last season.
Eintracht Frankfurt will pay Borussia Dortmund four million euros (plus two million euros in potential bonuses) for Sebastian Rode’s signature.
Rode spent four years in his first spell with Eintracht Frankfurt, before signing for Bayern Munich on a free transfer in 2014. He moved toBorussia Dortmund two years later for 12 million euros, and it’s fair to say that things haven’t worked out for the midfielder at the Westfalenstadion.

Get in!! To those saying it’s a bad deal: yes, it’s expensive. But Rode was one of the best players in the league on his position in 2019. He fits here perfectly and him playing here helped us big time. You could easily pay twice as much for him, but we didn’t. I’m glad we got him and I honestly think he’s worth the money.

At this point many supporters are ready to sell Sahin and Rode to make place for a new greenkeeper. The sources reporting the possible transfer are pretty reliable but with Witsel's wage as baggage i doubt it.

Dude earns €17m per season in China, he'll have to low his wages a lot to play for Dortmund or are they willing to pay that? most likely the former. Which isn't going to happen because he has always chosen the money route. i mean, he already made his 17 mill for the past season right? that might be enough in his mind for a good little payday, and then back to top 5 league while he's still youngish.
