United are eligible to terminate his contract even without his consent and not pay him a dime! he already breach his contract with that accusation and not playing for more than a year, the club loves the boy and wants to help him, so they retained him and kept paying him his Salary untill he finds a club. Most of you do not understand how the justice system works over there. the case was dropped because the girl refused to provide any further assistance to the court because they both already settled out of court! he wasn't proven not guilty. So therefore the accusations are still very much hanging on his head, unlike in our Africa, they take cases like his seriously. Manchester United is a brand that uphold Morals and standard behaviors they had so much to lose if they let me back into to the team, Greenwood himself would have wanted the case to be settled in court and him declared innocent. What would Manchester United stand for if the accusations leveled against Greenwood goes against the clubs work ethic and values. With such allegations Greenwood won't be able to find a job in a reputable company over there. He just has to play his way into the heart of the people again slowly. Kid his going to endure a lot of hate and pressure over there. If he had knew he would have told her to continue the case so the court can legally declare him not guilty. I love Greenwood as much as the next guy does but this was the only way out and obviously the club loves him too. Your image and integrity matters over here .
