Eintracht Frankfurt officially announced that Hutter has once again taken over as the head coach of the club's first team, with both parties signing a contract until 2029.

Adi Hutter appointed as new head coach.
The 56-year-old Austrian coach will officially take charge of Eintracht Frankfurt on July 1, 2026, with a contract until June 30, 2029. This appointment marks Hutter's return to his former coaching ground. From July 2018 to June 2021, he achieved remarkable results at Eintracht Frankfurt. In his first season managing the team, Eintracht Frankfurt won all six group stage matches in the Europa League, advancing all the way to the semi-finals; the following year, the team reached the German Cup semi-finals, and in the 2020/21 season, Eintracht Frankfurt once again qualified for the Europa League.
After leaving Eintracht Frankfurt, Hutter coached Borussia Mönchengladbach for one season before moving to AS Monaco in Ligue 1. During his tenure at Monaco, he led the team to a second-place finish in Ligue 1 in the 2023/24 season and third place in the 2024/25 season. Prior to this, Hutter also had a distinguished record in Austrian and Swiss football: in 2015, he led Red Bull Salzburg to a league and cup double, and in 2018, he guided Young Boys to win the Swiss Super League championship and reach the Swiss Cup final.
The new coaching staff members have also been confirmed, with Christian Peintinger and Klaus Schmidt appointed as assistant coaches. Peintinger, who holds a UEFA A coaching license, partnered with Hutter during his first stint at Eintracht Frankfurt and subsequently followed him to Mönchengladbach and Monaco. Schmidt later joined the coaching staff at Monaco. The 58-year-old Austrian holds a UEFA Pro coaching license and, after retiring as a player, served for many years as a head coach and assistant coach in Austria. Goalkeeper coach Jan Zimmermann will remain with Eintracht Frankfurt.
