After a year away from Turin, Gianluigi Buffon has returned to Juventus, after penning in a one-year contract which will tie him to the club until 30 June 2020.
Buffon originally signed for the Bianconeri on 3 July 2001 and went on to make 656 appearances over 17 years, winning nine Serie A titles and four Coppa Italias. He left Juventus and went to Paris on 19 May 2018.
After a year with Paris Saint-Germain, where Gigi registered saves on 73,5% of his attempts, won 13 of 17 games played in Ligue 1, and added a French league title along with a Super Cup to his incredible trophy cabinet, Gigi has officially returned to Juventus.
The 41-year-old becomes Juve’s third signing of the summer

I think buffon wants to ease into a leadership position with juve, which is why he is moving back. He really wants to help lead the team, and since they have Ronaldo, buffon must believe juve have a better chance at winning the ucl over psg. This will be a better end to his career than playing at psg. (plus areola and the other young keepers can really develop into world class players now without being discredited).
