Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, as expected, will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League game against Barcelona on Wednesday.
Kvaratskhelia was subbed off at half-time during PSG’s 2-0 win over AJ Auxerre on Saturday. The Georgia international could be seen touching his hamstring prior to his exit. He has not been included in the matchday squad that will travel to Barcelona.
However, there is more positive news concerning Vitinha. The Portuguese midfielder was brought off in the first half of that win. It was seemingly more of a precautionary measure, and he is indeed fit for the encounter. Joao Neves is also in the PSG squad, having missed the club’s last two Ligue 1 games.
Unsurprisingly, there is still no Ousmane Dembélé, whose return is expected after the international break, or Désiré Doué, who is closer to a return than his compatriot. Club captain Marquinhos is the other major absentee for Les Parisiens.
