Liverpool Football Club confirm a deal has been agreed for the transfer of Fabinho from AS Monaco.
The Brazil midfielder will formally seal a switch to the Reds on July 1 after successfully completing a medical and finalising terms on a long-term contract at Melwood.
Fabinho told Liverpoolfc.com: “I am really excited about this move.
“This is something that I always wanted – this is a giant of a team. The infrastructures of the club look exceptional.
“A football club of this size coming after my services, I didn’t have to think that much about coming over.
“I will try to create my own history at this football club. Hopefully, on a personal level, I’m able to win titles with this club.
“I will try to grow and learn and improve myself, and to be part of the club’s history.”
Fabinho, who has four caps for his country, becomes the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old will arrive from Monaco, where he made 225 appearances and scored 29 goals in five seasons with the French club.
According to Mail and Mirror, the trasfer fee for Fabinho is around £45m.

Liverpool lost Coutinho and Chan, both play in the middle of course in different positions. Since that they bring chamberlain kita, fakir, and this Brazilian player, all in center with different positions. Does that mean those center players plus Handerson and milliner will replace -if needed - the three of the front line?? And what about goalkeeper ?? Also who will be replacement for the defense line !!!
Can is leaving, Milner is 34 now and a little past it, Hendo is good but not the quality needed. Fabinho, Keita and possibly Fakir are all seriously better upgrades. He will still be looking for a keeper and I'm pretty sure a CB will be signed shortly. Personally I think we definitely need to get Fakir, Dr Ligt at CB and Oblak in goal. And 1 more flair player to rotate with front 3....pulsnic would be a great signing. Just my opinion .

great to see him joining us and also we need Keita,Nabil Fekir and a Special right winger so that if something happens to king M.Salah he can replace him and do the job exactly.Everybody saw when Salah got injured in the final we suffered alot because we don't have special winger who can change things quickly.

Fabinho should start in any team so he can’t really be replacing Can who doesn’t start. He could potentially force out Henderson or Milner but that would be a tough decision to make because Milner set a record for assists in the Champions league last year and Henderson is the captain.
