OFFICIAL: Montella is no longer Turkey's head coach

According to the Turkey National Team official announcement, Vincenzo Montella will no longer serve as the head coach of Turkey National team.

Turkey National Team Official Announcement:

It has been decided not to continue with our A National Team Technical Director, Mr. Vincenzo Montella.

It has been decided to appoint substitute board members Mr. ’brahim Özbay and Mr. Metin Akyüz instead of the two noble board members who resigned earlier.

Mr. Ahmet Erzurumlu, who is currently serving as the Director of TFF Registration Affairs, has been appointed instead of Mr. Abdullah Ayaz, the Secretary General, who presented his resignation to the Board of Directors of TFF recently.

Submitted with respect to the public opinion.

During his tenure, Monzella brought a roller-coaster experience to Turkish fans. After defeats to Australia and Paraguay, a 3-2 victory over the United States at the World Cup urged the Turkish Football Federation to keep up with Monzella's campaign. However, a consecutive 4-game defeat to France, Belgium and 2 losses against Italy wrapped up his journey at the team.
