The PSG star insulted match officials following his side's controversial defeat to Manchester United and will miss half of next season's group stage
Neymar has blasted the refereeing decisions following PSG's Champions League round of 16 loss exit to Manchester United.
The officials handed the visitors a penalty in stoppage time after a shot by Diego Dalot hit the arm of Presnel Kimpembe, which prompted a review with VAR.
"That is a disgrace!" Neymar wrote on his Instagram Stories alongside a screenshot of the alleged handball.
"And UEFA still pick four guys who know nothing about football to review the VAR decision in slow motion... that handball simply doesn't exist!
"How do you handball behind your back? Ahh.. go f*ck yourselves."
A UEFA statement declared: 'The CEDB has decided to suspend the Paris Saint-Germain player Neymar Junior for three (3) UEFA competition matches for which he would be otherwise eligible, for insulting match officials.'
Neymar missed the game through injury and had to watch from the sidelines as PSG collapsed to defeat, having won the first leg 2-0 at Old Trafford in February.
He was seen watching on in horror as his side became the first to lose a Champions League knockout tie having won by two goals away from home in the first leg.

Having a strong opinion on something is one thing. And expressing that thru emotion is another. But, how u do that is also very important as he represents his Club and he himself is pretty much a top player and has to show good spirit towards the sport he plays and appreciate it.

This is a well derseved punishment for Neymar. Both Manchester City and Atheltico got affected by the VAR but none of their players say anything bad like that. I hope this ban will teach Neymar a lesson.

Neymar Junior has killed his career. Since he left Barca, things has not being the same. He moved to PSG for world best and now look at how things has being going, Am sure he will be regretting it now. This is not a good discission from UEFA Committee. He has a rights for his club and that wasn't a good call from VAR. So as a player of PSG, he has to comment like that. I seen that match and I wrote on fb like that which have Neymer written. That is worst from UEFA and Shame about that

We all agree the last minute penalty decision in favour of Man Utd which resulted in the elimination of PSG was a bit controversial. A lot of emotions were expressed by PSG authorities, players, fans and even sympathisers, but Neymar, who obviously was desperate to go far in the competition did overreact by that use of foul language on the VAR staff. The exit was painful, but Neymar being a role model and leader with over 42 Million followers on twitter shouldn't have made those derogatory comments. For me, Neymar needs to apologise over his comments. That won't cause him anything, it will only show maturity. Anyway, UEFA has taken its decision and Neymar has to serve it and i hope he'll learn from it.
