Matteo Politano has signed a new contract with Napoli.
The Italy international midfielder has penned a new deal to 2028 with the Azzurri.
Mario Giuffredi, Politano's agent, spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli on September 6th about the player's imminent contract renewal: "We're talking to Napoli about extending the contract until 2028.
"We've been working on it for quite some time, and Matteo would like to end his career as late as possible, but here at Napoli.
"He's 32, not old, and if you've had an impeccable personal life, you can perform well today until you're 37 or 38. Acerbi, Darmian, and even Cristiano Ronaldo play despite their age. And Politano is one of them; age has little to do with his ability to perform at a high level. We hope to announce the renewal in the next two weeks."
