Real Madrid have confirmed agreement with Manchester City to sign winger Brahim Diaz on a six-and-a-half year deal.
Sky Sports News understands Real will pay City an initial fee of £15.5m for the 19-year-old, which could rise to £22m through a series of add-ons.
City have a 15 per cent profit on any future sale, but that will rise to 40 per cent should Madrid sell Diaz to Manchester United.
Diaz had rejected City's offers of a new contract and was due to become a free agent in the summer.
He had only managed five Premier League appearances for the reigning champions, all of which came last season, and a total of 15 senior outings for the club since his debut in 2016.
Diaz, who joined the club from Malaga's academy, found his opportunities limited by the arrival of senior internationals Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez.
A Real Madrid statement said: "Real Madrid and Manchester City have agreed to the transfer of the player Brahim Diaz, who will be committed to the club for the remainder of the season and the next six, until June 30, 2025.
"After a medical examination to be held tomorrow, Monday January 7, the player will be presented at 1:30pm at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium."

Diaz is not another mariano, the guy have lots of talents. He's mature to play for real at the moment coz most of real players are tired and has lost their good form of last year. Am really sure that he will be successful at real

some ppl are commenting by hatred and jealousy here. I'm a utd fan but Madrid is doing very well in the transfer market for 3 seasons now. they are spending less for great talents like vinicius, rodrygo, Diaz who have future unlike other teams who spend a lot for flops like Sanchez, keita, Fred, morata, coutinho. this is the best investment ever in Madrid history. After winning 3 UCL in a row, Madrid aren't under pressure but prepare for the future

For all that Brahim Diaz looks an excellent prospect / good value signing, he's probably not the short term solution that Madrid need sharpish.❤👏

Good luck to Brahim!!! I hope he will be the future of RM and have a great career. How could a young Spanish kid with so much talent deny a transfer to Real? ✌️👏👏👏 I will now have a reason to watch Madrid matches.😎

Well this finally happened wow !!!...... Well city must try to keep youngsters more and more everytime spending money is not an option like he could have been a future investment......I hope it's not a mistake just like They did for Sancho and Gunn (Goalkeeper at Southampton who performed tremendously well )......... I only had hope he would have retained but Madrid is a very good place for Diaz to be at as recently Madrid are investing money on youngsters ........ Hope Diaz Does well Hala Madrid 😊

Make this happen Perez. Get rid of Benzema and Bale. Im sorry, but they just can't produce what we need. Benzema is not a 30 goal per season player anymore sadly. He is old now. Bale, sadly gets injured every month. Let youngsters play. Play Isco and Asensio. Let them shine, give the more chances. Sadly, Solari doesn't care about them and they could leave. Don't let that happen. Isco, Asensio, Brahim Diaz, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Ceballos are the future of Madrid. Let them play!

you people worry too much, from the look of things real maldrid are building young champions but now it looks as if they don't know what they are doing. let me break it down to you guys. they board are gradually replacing the old guys with young folks at the same time playing them togather with the old guys so that the young guys can obtain more experince. note that the over age players real maldrid have now is Sergio Ramos, Modric, Benzama, Bale and Kroos and they have added young class youths like Vinnicius Jr., Rodrigo, Ceballos, Odrizola, Llorente, Sanchez, Regullon, Mariano, and now Ibrahim Diaz, with this young youth at their disposal if they stay togather for next two seasons they will be another set of champions that will last for long in Europe.

Stop buying youngsters and buy players that can fix the shit show were in 1) Dump Bale. Deadweight. Mariano was a stupid buy. 2) Bench Benzema. I don’t like him as a striker but I have a soft spot for him. He’s always given his best. Buy Kane or Icardi, someone that can score 25+ a season 3) Find a Marcelo replacement. He’s not performing. Hasn’t been for seasons. Excellent attached but atrocious defender. Too many goals coming down his flank. 4)Navas > Enough said If there frontline could FUCKING SCORE it WOULDNT BE A FUCKING ISSUE. WE NEED A GOAL SCORER NOT A FUCKING “promising” YOUNG PLAYER.

This is a beautiful mews, Real Madrid is spending wisely on young players for future, as my team Barca is spending huge money on aging players and not even thinking of future, I love the deal between Man City and Real Madid on Brahim, it's like Man City still having share, whatever sales goes on, they will still have a share, Brilliant
