OFFICIAL: Schlotterbeck suffers torn meniscus in knee and will be out of season

Borussia Dortmund officially announced that their centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck has suffered a torn meniscus in left knee that would cost him for being out of this season.

Borussia Dortmund's central defender Nico Schlotterbeck has suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and will no longer be available for BVB in any competition this season.

Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl said: "Nico's absence hits us very hard. He is a very important part of our team and has impressed with his consistently good performances this season. We hope he will get fit again quickly and will receive maximum support from us on his way back."
