OFFICIAL: Strasbourg sign Rayane Messi

RC Strasbourg have completed the signing of highly-rated prospect Rayane Messi (17) from National 1 side Dijon FCO. He will integrate Les Alsaciens’ academy for the upcoming campaign, the club has confirmed.

There has been a lot of noise surrounding Messi. The name has contributed to that, however, despite only four professional appearances, he has already shown enough promise to alert some of France’s top clubs. He had been a target for Olympique de Marseille, who were ultimately put off by Dijon’s €4m asking price.

That asking price was then lowered rather considerably; as per Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Messi joins Strasbourg for a fee of around €1.2m (including bonuses). Having joined RCSA on the cheap, the BlueCo-owned club confirmed that forward will integrate the club’s development side ahead of the upcoming campaign. The France U17 international winger has signed a three-year deal with RCSA, tying him to the club until the summer of 2027.
