Tottenham have officially announced the midfielder Moussa Sissoko has undergone knee ligament surgery and is not expected back in training until April.
The midfielder sustained the injury in Tottenham's clash with Southampton last Wednesday, resulting in him missing Spurs' recent FA Cup tie at Middlesbrough.
Sissoko played the full 90 minutes of that game but the extent of the problem became apparent after scans on his right knee.
