UEFA has officially announced that Real Madrid’s appeal has been rejected, meaning the previously imposed sanctions on Kylian Mbappé, Antonio Rüdiger, and Dani Ceballos remain in effect.
UEFA Statement:
During the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg on March 12, where Atlético Madrid defeated Real Madrid 1–0, Rüdiger, Mbappé, and Ceballos were found to have violated the basic rules of decent conduct, breaching Article 11(2)(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.
Final Decision: Real Madrid’s appeal has been dismissed. The decision of UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) dated April 4, 2025, is upheld. (Related: UEFA confirmed one-match suspensions for Mbappé and Rüdiger in European competitions, suspended for one year)
In addition, following the April 28 match where Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 3–0, the club was charged for incidents involving racist behavior, breaching Article 14(2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.
Final Decision: Real Madrid’s appeal was also dismissed. The CEDB’s April 28, 2025, decision, which includes a €15,000 fine, has been confirmed.
This ruling means all sanctions, including the suspended bans for Mbappé and Rüdiger and the fine imposed on the club, remain fully valid.

this simply means, Each got a 1-match suspension, but it's suspended for one year...... meaning they won’t miss any match now, but if they misbehave again within a year, they’ll serve the ban.
