Alexandre Dujeux’s work at SCO Angers is seeing him linked with the managerial role at OGC Nice, currently held by Claude Puel, as per a report from L’Équipe.
Puel arrived on an interim basis at the end of December, replacing Franck Haise amid a period of crisis. However, he, like the two co-presidents who brought him in, Jean-Pierre Rivere and Maurice Cohen, arrived on a “mission” to save Nice from relegation. It is not a marriage that is built to last, even if Puel remaining in the post beyond the end of the season cannot be ruled out.
However, Le Gym also have an interest in Dujeux, who, for consecutive seasons, has defied expectations at Angers, earning them mid-table finishes. Once Le Sco’s’ safety in Ligue 1 is ensured, the manager’s contract will automatically be extended by one year, until 2028. However, Dujeux will be available on the market and Nice’s long-standing interest could be revived.
