Mohamed Salah taking his shirt off after scoring the winner for Liverpool against Southampton was reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo, and was a sign that he was set to go on a run of scoring goals.
That's the opinion of ESPN FC analyst Julien Laurens.
Sarah scored a wonder goal against Chelsea on Sunday, as he picked the ball up on the right wing, before cutting in on his left foot and unleashing a shot into he top corner.
It was his second goal in as many league games for the Egyptian, after he broke his goal drought against Southampton last week.
Before he netted Liverpool's second against Southampton last Friday, the winger had gone eight games without a goal for the Reds.
After his late goal at St Mary's, he ripped off his shirt before standing in front of the away fans, a surprising move from Salah, given how calm he usually is after goals.
And Laurens explained that he could see the frustration from the forward in taking off his top, and that he channelled his inner Ronaldo in doing so.
When asked about whether he would prefer to take Raheem Sterling or Salah, he explained why his view has changed.
“I think six months ago I said Sterling, right now I would say Mo Salah,” he said on ESPN FC.
“I think the celebration against Southampton was so telling.
“It was so unlike Mo Salah to take the shirt off, it was a Cristiano Ronaldo celebration to take the shirt off.
“You could see the frustration of eight games in a row without a goal, you could feel how important that goal was for him.
“The way he expressed it was so important.
“You knew after that he was going to go on a run of scoring goals again regularly like he used to before the goal drought.”
With just four league games remaining, Reds fans will be hoping that Salah's good form continues.
Liverpool are two points clear of Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
However, The Reds have arguably the better run-in, as City have a Manchester derby and a tough match against Tottenham Hotspur to play.

Scoring against a small team and taking off your shirt to celebrate doesn't make you Ronaldo. Ronaldo is the GOAT, he's on the different level. He does take off his shirt but only against big clubs like Athletico Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona. Comparing Salah to Ronaldo is like comparing a hammer to an anvil.

They are all wonderful players. Salah is Salah, CR7 is CR7, Messi is Messi. Unique and world class, all of them. Am I the only one who can appreciate other world class players without taking a dig at others' opinion?

This is why I hate the English Premiership, Salah is not even close to the best. But because of one shot yesterday, his being talked about like his the best in Europe. Let me give you the stats so you can see even as the top striker presently in the PFL, he is the worst compare to others: Mbappe: 27goals in 31games Lewandoski: 21goals in 29 games Qualiarella: 22goals in 29 games Messi: 33goals in 32 games Salah: 19goals in 34 games Yet, English fans will not let us have peace because of a goal outside the 18 yard.
