Argentine media outlet Olé reported that Boca Juniors are interested in signing Colombian goalkeeper Álvaro Montero.
According to Olé, as reported a month ago, Boca Juniors have identified a goalkeeper target following Agustín Marchesín's injury, Leandro Brey's loss of form, and Javier García's departure.
Álvaro Montero, 31, plays for Colombia's national team and is currently on loan at Vélez Sarsfield. His contract includes a buyout clause of $1.8 million, comprising a $1.4 million transfer fee and a $400,000 loan fee. Boca plan to exercise this option.
After activating the buyout clause, Boca will complete the transfer for an additional fee, which poses no financial concerns for Juan Román Riquelme and his team.
