Olé: Paredes could make early return for Boca in Vasco da Gama clash

Boca Juniors will face Vasco da Gama away in the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana semifinals. According to reports from Olé, midfielder Paredes, who was previously injured, is expected to make an early return.

The report states that after his injury, Paredes underwent platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, a treatment he also received for a similar muscle injury before the 2014 World Cup, aimed at accelerating his recovery.

It is understood that Paredes is undergoing rehabilitation training at Boca Juniors while also receiving treatment from the national team physiotherapist at the Argentine Football Association's training base. He is following a standard rehabilitation program that combines care, monitoring, and gradual progression.

The report indicates that after Paredes posted photos of himself resuming training last Saturday, there is optimism about his early return to play. However, with only 11 days of treatment so far, Paredes has had significantly less recovery time than is typical for a muscle tear of similar severity.

The report concludes by noting that with Boca Juniors needing to turn the tide, they are well aware of the impact Paredes' presence would have on the team. The only question now is whether the midfielder will start or come off the bench in this match.
