L'Equipe front cover's claim that Lionel Messi won't be able to break France's defence, has led the Argentine publication Ole to hit back suggesting that he will.
The French publication published a picture of the Barcelona superstar surrounded by five Les Bleus defenders, looking to dribble his way through.
'He won't pass' stated L'Equipe and Ole responded by publishing the same picture on their website, correcting the negative tone of the headline to 'he will pass'.
The Argentine portal read: "That's how we feel from this side of the pond, where everything is two, three or five times harder.
"No matter how many they are, we always overpass the obstacles and move forward.
"[Messi] grew up there, but he has the blood of those from here, so he will do it again.
"We trust them, and that's why we respond likewise to the French newspaper L'Equipe's cover.
"He will pass, L'Equipe. Leo will pass."
