Onana: Clubs don't trust black goalkeepers, it's a reality

Andre Onana laid out his concerns over football clubs' hesitance to count on black goalkeepers.

The Ajax shot-stopper explained that there is a rising tide of racism and prejudice in European football.

"Clubs don't trust black goalkeepers," he told RMC.

"It's a reality, you just have to look at it, it's not me who says it.

"There are not many black goalkeepers in the elite and people have it in their heads that black goalkeepers don't provide security or [that they] make too many mistakes."

Last season, the Cameroon international reached the Champions League semi-finals with the Eredivisie reigning champions.
