Liverpool host Manchester United on Sunday in the latest Premier League derby between the north-west rivals. Leaders Liverpool are unbeaten this season and 16 points ahead of United, who are sixth, but who would you pick in a combined XI? Here is our answer ahead of Sunday's mouth-watering clash.
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
We've gone for David de Gea. Alisson is fantastic but we think De Gea is the best in the world. People question whether he is having the best season but overall it has to be De Gea.
Right-back: Alexander-Arnold
A no contest here, with the defender streets in front of Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian. This season he has been solid and he scored a fantastic freekick against Watford.
Centre-back: Virgil van Dijk
He is the best centre-back in the Premier League, let alone in these two clubs - what United would do to have a centre-half like him.
Centre-back: Dejan Lovren
Obviously Joe Gomez will not figure on Sunday but if everyone was fit it is no contest to put him alongside Virgil van Dijk in central defence. The reason we go for Dejan Lovren is that, despite making mistakes, when everyone has their best game his is better than Bailly's or Chris Smalling's.
Left-back: Andrew Robertson
Luke Shaw has claims at left-back but we go for Andrew Robertson based on his consistency over the last 12 months.
Central midfielder: Paul Pogba
Pogba has not been at his best this season but we back him to flourish in this team. He has his critics but the Frenchman is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. His passing range is sublime - and when he turns on the style few players can live with him.
Central midfielder: James Milner
We have gone for that man for all seasons James Milner as the pivot. We don't think Klopp would swap Milner for Pogba if he could. He's not going to press.
Central midfielder: Naby Keita
A key figure in Klopp's side. Liverpool forked over in excess of £50 million a year in advance to get their man. He can offer Liverpool control amidst festive chaos.
Right winger: Mohamed Salah
It is easy here. In the space of four days Mohamed Salah has scored four goals to help Liverpool to the top of the Premier League and into the Champions League knockout stages.
He has now been involved in a staggering 78 goals in 75 games for Liverpool since joining from Roma last summer.
Left winger: Sadio Mane
Liverpool's potent attacking trio make it a simple choice. We choose Mane over Martial, he's been fantastic this season for Liverpool.
Centre forward: Roberto Firmino
Firmino’s goalscoring form may have slowed – he has six in 22 appearances so far – but his importance remains undiminished. He is, for Klopp, the key to just about everything.

Perfect one for me... Firmino plays best when he's given the role of a a supporting midfielder an a second striker... he knows how to supply Mo. Salah with passes than to concentrate on scoring. Anthony Martial has pace to cover up at the midfield. Mo. Salah is clinical infront of goal post to be placed as the main striker. A combination of Van Virjil and asmalling can be a joy to wacth. Trent is a potential world class right back... he's got fire in his bones... little more work with age and maturity would see him to the top. A. Robertson is of no doubt the best.... though often lacking the pace to cover up his back space sometimes... he is clinical with inbox crossings. Paul Pobga is a rock... if handed to confidence and given a cool head... in combination with James Milner in the midfield give a shield to ease the work of the defenders. Saudi mane has got the pace, the skills and the strength.... he can provide a lot of trouble to the defending role of his opponents. What a clinical First XI...

I think in this team the one mistake and that is DAVID DE GEA we all know how david de gea is great but today we talk about combined 11 in Sundays match we all know this time and in this season the fantastic ALLISON high level and he conceded only 6 goals in all matches and compair to dea gea he conceded 25 and above goals so in this 11 alisson deserved the place of goalkeeper

Really? This season I think Allison has been better than De Gea. (Not of all time, obviously)

Well my Liverpool-Man United combined 11 consist of changes, Young is more experienced that Robertson and has relatively more strength and power, Bailly is good as you all saw him against Valencia and Arsenal in his previous starts, great strength, power and can man mark well, Pogba is really good as he has been in his bad days recently but we all saw him against Valencia as he was apart of the build up in Rashford's goal and gave a beautiful flick which Mata missed and was dribbling and creating spaces for his teammates and lastly Rashford on the Right wing, he has played there before and he had a great performance there too. That is my combined XI and with few changes.
