Opta's Supercomputer has predicted where Manchester United will finish in the Premier League table this season after another dire week for the Old Trafford club.
Erik ten Hag's men were soundly beaten 3-0 at home by Manchester City on Sunday, and lost by the same scoreline against Newcastle on Wednesday as their defence of the Carabao Cup came to a tame end.
The Red Devils have lost eight of their 15 matches in all competitions this season, and currently sit eighth in the Premier League, eight points adrift of the top four.
According to Opta's Supercomputer, their hopes of clawing that margin back are almost over already, as they have been given just a 2.1 per cent chance of making the top four.
United finished third last term, but have only a 0.7 per cent chance of repeating that feat, while their prospects of sealing fourth aren't much better at 1.4 per cent. They have been given no chance at all of a top-two finish.
A top-five placing could be enough to get the club back into the Champions League with the competition introducing a new format next season that could see the Premier League take an extra spot.
United are not expected to achieve that either, though, as their chances of finishing fifth are down at just 4.9 per cent.
They are most likely to remain eighth according to the Supercomputer, which has their chances of finishing in that position at 21.3 per cent.
Things could also get a lot worse than they currently are, with the Supercomputer predicting there is a 14.9 per cent possibility that United finish in the bottom half of the table.
The club's worst-ever Premier League finish is seventh in 2013-14.
That was the team's first season following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, with David Moyes replacing him and then being sacked in the final weeks of the season before Ryan Giggs was placed in interim charge for the remainder of the campaign.
Opta's Supercomputer now feels it is likely that United will finish even lower down the table this year as the pressure ramps up on Ten Hag.
Gary Neville hinted after Wednesday's loss to Newcastle that the Dutchman could be sacked soon as he posted on social media 'we know how it ends'.
Meanwhile, fellow pundit Paul Merson believes Ten Hag has 'lost the players' leading to 'toxic' performances on the pitch.
It has been a dismal week for United, but they will get the chance to finish it on a high when they travel to Fulham in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off at Craven Cottage.
They then face FC Copenhagen next Wednesday in a crucial match that could go a long way to determining their Champions League fate before hosting Luton in their final game before the international break.

Will u still sag they are enjoying what they did to him if the team start to perform ?? It doesn’t make sense .. u should stop associating the current performance to Ronaldo .. last season they qualified for top four without him !!
