Robert Lewandowski netted a late penalty as Barcelona ran out 2-1 winners over 10-man Osasuna.
Barca started the first half well with Frenkie de Jong hitting the post and Robert Lewandowski missing an open goal on the rebound inside the first two minutes.
Despite their possession they struggled to break down Osasuna's well organised defensive structure.
The Liga holders took the lead just before half-time as Jules Kounde rose highest to meet Ilkay Gundogan's corner.
Osasuna responded in the 76th minute through substitute Ezequiel Avila, who found the bottom corner from outside the box.
Lewandowski scored from the spot in the 86th minute to give Barcelona the win.

Honestly, Xavi four midfielders tactics are becoming more boring and difficult to create chances for Lewy. I'm not in support of his 4 man midfielders. Lewy needs wingers to support him, I know the four midfielders are to please Gavi. Lamine did not do anything spectacular today, so there is to hype. Frankie confidence is ever growing. He deserves the MVP. I still don't think Xavi is the right catch to take up to heyday.

What the hell was wrong with Xavi today.. he got two players that Barca needed to get and he benched them both .. has Xavi lost his managerial mind! Cancelo on the bench while Roberto is running around the pitch like a chicken with its head cut off. Forcing Gavi to play as a winger which he can’t and sitting Felix in the bench. Within five min of Cancelo playing the movement of the ball was constantly going forward towards Osasuna goal. Same with Felix which opened up a new dimension of play.. Barca almost couldn’t believe they had such options and it showed on how bad Xavi tactics are influencing the game. Xavi tactics are either outdated or he just dosnt see what he has. Barca got lucky today and it shouldn’t of been this hard to beat a second string Osasuna team..

we may have won but this performance was really rough and dull. This performance prove we're not ready for champions league. We have to improve alot, we need to be more clinical and sharper, if we don't then I'm sure we're gonna be humiliated again. It can't be a situation where the midfielders have the ball and none of them is trying a through pass, they all pass the ball to the defenders and expect them to find the through pass it's absurd too much back pass. I agree with Lewandowski too much back pass the midfielders need to try and penetrate the opponent box. The passes were too loose at times as well simple passes they made seem difficult

Having gundogan is such a beautiful thing, last season when pedri got injured our midfield quality dropped drastically but now that we have him, we can still maintain a very high level regardless. And What a player he is👏🏿💙❤️

This is again embarrassing to watch and very irritating. I am so tired to see us play like this. Every single one of our starters look fucking bored. We play with 0 passion and hunger. No press after losing the ball, extremely slow on every single transition and everyone is walking. We play with the same formation and keep starting gavi as a winger, which honestly makes us weaker on the left flank in attack. I have no idea why Gavi lost his creativity and hunger he looks scared to mess up and plays so safe. We have/had so much in form players on the bench and no matter what they do in previous matches, they still don’t start. We got Robert up top who seems to only be able to complain about refs and look really average in games. I love Xavi the player but Xavi the coach makes me so angry. I mean when will we see some change? Week after week we play badly and he still finds a way to praise the team. Embarrassing!

I suggest Xavi to use 2 wingers from now on, lamine and Felix to play with lewandowski, then ferran and raphinha as subs, midfield= Frankie as defensive, gundogan and Gavi to start then Romeo as sub, if pedri comes back, he will surely drop into the line up, before he comes back, you will know who to pare him with between Gavi or gundogan base on there performance, defense, balde, Christensen, kounde and cancelo, then Inigo Martinez as sub, if araujo comes back, he will surely drop into the starting line up with kounde, then Christensen and Martinez as sup, Stegen as keeper, NOTE 1- Players that should never play are Roberto and Alonso 2- to me I had prefer lamine over raphinha buh u can be switching them to start matches for atleast 3 starts each and see who will hv more impact,

The question that I always ask myself each time that I watch any Barca game under the present manager are; 1. why is every team so confident to play against Barca since knowing very well they can beat Barca or score them goal. 2. Why do Barca atacking players so shy to go to the opponents goal area. 3. Why are Barca players so slow with the ball. 4. Why can't Barca players mark the opponents attackers instead of allowing them chest down the ball even in the 18-yard box. 5 Why are players not hungry for goals and why can't the team create chances for goals.
