Michael Owen believes having the second leg at home will give Liverpool a 'huge advantage' in their Champions League semi-final tie against Barcelona.
Liverpool beat Porto 4-1 on the night and 6-1 on aggregate to secure their place in the last four, with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk all on target.
Owen has backed Liverpool to reach the final of Europe's elite club competition, as they did last season, when they lost to Real Madrid.
Owen, who scored 158 goals for Liverpool, said on BT Sport: 'With the first game at the Nou Camp that's a huge advantage. Going back to Anfield that's a real bonus.'
Fellow former Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler also feels that Jurgen Klopp's side will get the better of Barcelona.
Fowler insists that Liverpool can take inspiration from Manchester United's display in the first leg of the quarter-final against Barcelona, when they restricted the attacking influence of the Spanish side despite losing 1-0.
Fowler: 'I think they've got a great chance. Man United showed at Old Trafford that teams can get behind them. With Liverpool's attacking prowess, they're more of a match for anyone.'
Another former Liverpool player, Steve McManaman, feels that Barcelona are a shadow of their former selves and outlined that Liverpool should focus on attempting to 'bully' Lionel Messi.
McManaman said: 'I fancy an English team to win the competition this year. Barca were impressive against Man United but I don't think they're as good as two or three years ago.
'I think the English league is stronger than La Liga. If you can keep Messi quiet and bully him, I don't think they've got that much.'
Following their victory over Porto, Liverpool have now won their last eight games in succession across all competitions.
Klopp's side remain in contention to win the Premier League and return to domestic action on Sunday when they travel to face Cardiff.

The game of football is very unpredictable... we have all seen what has happened to Juventus and Man City...I will advise both Liverpool and Barcelona supporters to be calm as we await for the games to be played ...the team which will play well they will carry the day if one of the teams loses they are still a good team for them to come this far. And we fans we still remains friends because I have some of my family members who are Barca while am Liverpool... so please no insults this is just a game. we are more important than football brothers ...
