Match Report
Kylian Mbappe and Neymar scored as Paris Saint-Germain beat Lille to set a new record for wins at the start of Europe's top five leagues.
Second-place Lille looked to have done enough to frustrate the Ligue 1 pacesetters, but Kylian Mbappe and Neymar struck in the final 20 minutes to wrap up a deserved victory for Thomas Tuchel's men despite Nicolas Pepe's late penalty.
PSG never had any difficulty dominating, with Gianluigi Buffon having very little to do in goal, but in the first half the combination of poor finishing and opposition goalkeeper Mike Maignan saw the hosts grow frustrated.
However, some Mbappe brilliance finally put them ahead and Neymar sealed it six minutes from time to leave Lille 11 points adrift of PSG at the summit, with Pepe's spot-kick a mere consolation.

I've always been seeing people commenting about PSG being in a Farmer's league... And I get so annoyed about it all the time.... So I present to you some facts - Do you'll really think predicting the winner of Ligue 1 is easier than predicting the winner of Bundesliga, Serie A or Liga BBVA? I'm not talking about the current season, but say 10 years down the line... People talk about PSG dominating Ligue 1, but how many know since when have they been dominating? They only won their third title in 2012-13. You think PSG have won the most Ligue 1 titles? They're probably not even in the top 3... I'm sorry CR7 fans, but what I believe is CR7 is the one playing in the Farmer's league. Isn't seven consecutive league titles enough for you to see? They're already six points clear at the top of this season's table but everybody will be bitching about Ligue 1 being a Farmer's league... How many know since 2001, only 3 different teams have won the Serie A? In contrast, since 2006 I think around six to seven teams have won the Ligue 1. Also teams like Montpellier and Monaco won it unexpectedly during this period. So which league is the one capable of popping up a surprise in the near future? Tell me which Italian team other than Juventus or Inter can you expect to win the league? Since 2004, Bayern have won 10 league titles, more than PSG have EVER won the Ligue 1! Bayern have won their last consecutive 6 titles, yet Ligue 1 is the league where you can easily predict it's winner... Since 2004, only three different teams have won the Liga BBVA. I hope you'll know about how two certain teams in Spain have historically dominated the Spanish league and the cup. Yet all eyes look at France where a certain team has had newfound success... Tell me for once honestly, will Juventus win the league this year? 90% will say yes. Will Bayern or Borussia win the league this year? 80% will say yes. Will Real Madrid, Barca or Athletico win the league this year? 90% will say yes. Then why is there so much fuss about 90% people saying PSG will win the league this year?!?! Look, I don't disagree that PSG have completely dominated the league for the last five seasons (except the one when Monaco won). But when people shamelessly call Ligue 1 a Farmer's league knowing that Juventus have won the last seven titles and Bayern have won their last six titles, it makes me feel annoyed. If Ligue 1 is a Farmer's league, then so is Serie A, Bundesliga and Liga BBVA! If you'll already know the eventual Champions of France and hence it is not worth seeing, then you'll also must stop seeing Serie A and Bundesliga, right? PSG are better than all other teams in France, but what can they do about it? Can they move to Serie A? Can they claim Paris is now part of Spain? If they've invested/wasted so much money to be Europe's best, they'll naturally be France's best. Just because PSG is dominating it's league with so much ease, does that make Neymar look like a fool to go there? If yes, then CR7 is a complete moron and nitwit to go to a team which has won 7 consecutive league titles... The point is apart from the Premier league, most other leagues are in the same condition where you can easily predict the winner. So please don't be so ignorant about Juventus or Bayern and call Ligue 1 a Farmer's league...
