PSG 3-3 Monaco: In-form Neymar & Ben Yedder go head to head in 6-goal thriller

Neymar claimed a double, but goals from Gelson Martins, Wissam Ben Yedder and Islam Slimani secured a point for Monaco.

Monaco twice came from behind to claim a 3-3 draw in a Ligue 1 thriller against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.

Gelson Martins swiftly cancelled out Neymar's early opener and Thomas Tuchel's men were behind to a fine Wissam Ben Yedder goal by the time the world's most expensive player forced a Fode Ballo-Toure own goal.

Neymar's penalty put leaders PSG ahead at the break but substitute Islam Slimani came up with a VAR-assisted leveller.

Neymar, easy as you like! Verratti lifts a simple pass over the defence for Neymar down the left, and nobody seems to be tracking him. He's got all the time in the world to take it down, let it bounce - twice to be sure - and hammer it in at the near post.

7' GOAL! PSG 1-1 Monaco (Gelson Martins)

Martins levels the scores! It comes a little out of nowhere as a shot isn't cleared at the edge of the area. Fabregas lifts a delicious pass in behind for Ben Yedder who is wiped out by Navas, but Martins is there to sweep the ball into the empty net at close range.

13' GOAL! PSG 1-2 Monaco (Ben Yedder)

Straight from the throw-in on the left, just inside the Monaco half, they break through Golovin and then Keita. Keita plays a simple square ball to Ben Yedder at the edge of the area and the forward takes a touch around one defender before finishing right-footed, back across the keeper and into the bottom-left corner.

24' OWN GOAL! PSG 2-2 Monaco (Toure)

Horribly unfortunate own goal from Ballo-Toure! Gueye and Di Maria combine to present Neymar with an opportunity at the left side of the area. He cuts onto his right foot and shoots, and it cannons in off the inside of the post via a big deflection off the defender's foot. It happened very quickly, there wasn't a lot he could do about it.

42' Penalty Goal! PSG 3-2 Monaco (Neymar)

Mbappe pulls out the shuffling feet again at the left corner of the area, going inside Martins and then back out and drawing the foul. Simple decision for referee Gautier.

Neymar ambles up, gives it the Simone Zaza feet and strokes the penalty right-footed into the bottom-left corner. Lecomte goes the other way.

70' GOAL! PSG 3-3 Monaco (Slimani)

Slimani! Well, well! He sticks the ball in the back of the net after Martins turns Verratti inside out at the edge of the area, but the flag goes up as his shot deflects into the substitute's path.

There's a lengthy VAR check, and the goal is given. I'm thoroughly confused about it, because he looked about a yard off to me!
