The fallout from Tuesday's Champions League fixture between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir will be wide-reaching and lengthy, and the two teams put on a united front against racism just prior to the rescheduled restart of the match on Wednesday evening.
With a whole new officiating team in place, both PSG and Basaksehir agreed to restart and finish a match that is now actually a dead rubber in terms of what the result means in relation to the group.
Manchester United's 3-2 defeat away to RB Leipzig on Tuesday confirmed PSG's place in the knockout stage, whilst the Turkish champions were already condemned to last place in the standings.
Basaksehir refused to share the pitch with the official in question again, and PSG stood with them in solidarity, a move that was echoed just prior to kick off on Wednesday.
UEFA announced on Wednesday morning that the red card given to Basaksehir assistant coach Pierre Webo would be rescinded.

let's put this into context , is there anyone on AF who has not described a black player/ person as black? different languages describe colour in there own language . we need to stop being so sensitive to every single statement that is made . translated he said the black guy . the longer this madness goes on the longer this madness goes on because you will upset the indigenous population instead of embracing the game black/white yellow and red people love . we are football regardless who we support in whatever country in this world. race / colour or creed will never divide us because we share 1 love . respect to all football fans
