Mauricio Pochettino's spell as Paris Saint-Germain coach is expected to be over soon, as the two parties have reportedly reached an agreement to terminate the Argentine's contract.
Eighteen months after taking charge of PSG, Pochettino will depart the Ligue 1 team after failing to lead them to Champions League success.
According to The Athletic, PSG and Pochettino agreed to part ways after a meeting that took place last week.
PSG won the Ligue 1 title last season but failed to knock out Real Madrid from the Champions League and got eliminated in the Round of 16.
The only thing that remains unclear is what kind of agreement the two parties have reached concerning the termination of his contract, one which runs until the summer of 2023.
Meanwhile, sporting director Leonardo will also leave the club, whose owners are willing to carry out a team and staff rebuilding.
Who will be the next PSG coach?
Various media reports indicate that Zinedine Zidane will take the reins at Paris Saint-Germain next season.
However, this has already been denied on several occasions, not by the coach himself, but by his agent and people close to him.
According to The Athletic, Nice coach Christopher Galtier is the main favourite to take over at PSG.
Meanwhile, other reports point to Roma tactician Jose Mourinho as a potential candidate to succeed Pochettino.

Jose Mourinho gets a letter delivered to his house in Rome. Opens it, it's an electricity bill for £17,000 forwarded on from Manchester United Football Club... He rings the club, I think there's been a mistake, you sent me a bill but haven't worked for you for years. No Jose sorry, but there's no mistake.. You were the last person in the trophy room in 2017 and you left the bloody light on!😠😡🤣🤣🤣

PSG thinks it is easy by amassing stars , but winning Champions League is as tough as winning World Cup! Chelsea took 10 yrs to win 2, MU and Liverpool took 20 yrs to win 2, while Juventus still searching one since last won in 1996, Milan has not won it since 15 yrs back, even Barcelona last won it 7 yrs ago. The only exception is the ever mighty Real Madrid winning 5 titles in 9 years! No club in Champions League history has ever done that! Hala Madrid!
