Almost a month has passed since Paris Saint-Germain's collapse against Real Madrid in the Champions League, but that defeat at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is still causing pain in the French capital.
Since that loss, the PSG superstars have been booed and whistled, while the fans have decided to greet the arrival of the team bus with a surreal silence.
There is a standoff between the club's most passionate supporters and the members of the first-team squad, which the players aren't happy about.
"They have the right to express their discontent, as they're disappointed just like we are," Kylian Mbappe said of the issues with the fanbase, speaking after Sunday's 5-1 win over Lorient.
"Against Bordeaux it was a little too much, when they were against the players.
"We all lost that game. We're all in the same boat. We all messed up.
"The fans have the right to whistle, while we'll focus on working on the pitch."
Neymar discusses the conflict with the fans
Neymar echoed that sentiment as he too discussed the current situation at the club.
"We don't like to lose and what happened in Madrid was tough," the Brazilian said.
"It hurt because we hoped to reach the Champions League final.
"I know it's hard for the fans to accept that defeat, but it's even tougher for us to accept it. Now, we have to look forward."
Whistles for Sergio Ramos
Sergio Ramos wasn't involved in the loss against his former club, as he was unavailable due to injury. He has been on the sidelines for most of his first season in Paris and this has caused frustration among the fanbase too, with the Spaniard whistled.
"Sergio is a great champion, like all the players in the squad," Mauricio Pochettino said, as he defended the summer signing.
"It's a result of the frustration and disappointment that exists right now because of the Champions League elimination.
"I don't think we can cure such a deep wound quickly. It'll take time, but it was good to win this game."

Well, as for me after their (Real Madrid's) 4 nil humbling at Barca's hands (or rather feet), am over the loss to them. Barca did it for me. However, I will be supporting RM in the game versus Chelsea. Spanish root is stronger than English root for me.

yes..it was a great lose of already going to win match. But it was the failure of few particular players and later as of whole squad involved. Has the goalie appolizied to the team mates b to fans???. That silly but stupid mistake made at such great important game that too against RM...changed everything. still the game was in PSG's legs...if the Captain and rest of mates would have cautiously managed to control the game until the final whistle.!!!!@#$%^&.
