Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly being linked with a shock move for their former boss Thomas Tuchel.
The French champions have grown frustrated with current boss Christophe Galtier and the sight of sporting director Luis Campos on the touchline for their stunning 4-3 win over Lille has underlined the pressure the Frenchman is under.
This has led to PSG to sound out a potential return for Tuchel, who they sacked just a day before Christmas in 2020 – four months after he guided them to the Champions League final.
According to the Evening Standard, PSG would be willing to admit their mistake in dumping him just over two years ago for Mauricio Pochettino, with the German ready to make a return to management.
However, the report claims that Tuchel will need convincing if he was to make an emphatic return to the Parc des Princes.
This time round, he would no longer be dealing with former sporting director Leonardo – who he fell out with – and instead would be working alongside Campos.
The Evening Standard also report that the former Chelsea boss would want assurances the club would protect him against player power, while he only wants to focus on just coaching - leaving transfers to the club.
Tuchel has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea last September and has been searching for a club that is ready to compete for titles in one of Europe's top five leagues.
A return to Stamford Bridge to replace Graham Potter is being labelled as 'impossible' with the English boss being backed by Blues chairman Todd Boehly.
In his three years at PSG, Tuchel won back-to-back Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue and the Trophee des Champions twice.
He took charge of 127 games and won 95 of those, giving him an impressive 74 per cent winning average as boss.
Tuchel went on to win the Champions League with Chelsea after being sacked by PSG.

Lol the fact that Galtier has lost like around 5 games as a manager with around 35 games for PSG lol what if he doesn’t manage to lose anymore for the rest of the season??? This side should not jump to sack good coaches tbh..

🔵 #ThomasTuchel had an elite #mentality, which was one of the reasons I admired him. His ability to defeat some of the finest managers in the world while he was at #Chelsea demonstrated his class. I miss him
